How Move Remote Moves
Most of the time when we talk about traveling in our 19ft travel trailer most people’s immediate reaction is that’s pretty small for two people. Realistically 19ft isn’t very large, but it’s all about the layout. Our 19ft Jayco Hummingbird is equipped with a slide-out which slides out from the right side of the trailer about 1-2ft. The slide-out makes a huge difference in our living space. In our

One of the main reasons we chose this type of trailer was the type of vehicle we had to tow it. Upon originally purchasing our trailer we had a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, with a towing capacity of 4,500lbs. Currently we tow the trailer with a 2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5. The 4Runner tows a max of 5000lbs, has 4WD and other all terrain and towing functions that met all the needs to tow a trailer.

We were able to hook up an electrical braking system to the SUV which is a crucial part of towing. Electric trailer brakes make an electrical connection to the 4Runner. This allows for more “programmable” brake operation and gives us the ability to activate the trailer
The combination of the 4Runner and Hummingbird works amazing for us, but that’s not to say there are several other trailer and vehicle options to choose from. Always do your research before buying as there are different requirements and licensing that may be needed when purchasing RVs and Travel trailers. Regardless there is something out there for everyone! If you’re thinking about buying and have any questions we are always here to help!
